IFP EXTENDS CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING ON OF OUTGOING A-G, KIMI MAKWETU

The IFP has learned with great sadness of the passing on of the outgoing Auditor-General (A-G) of South Africa, Kimi Makwetu. It is with shock and regret that we received the news of Makwetu’s death.

Kimi Makwetu’s outstanding contribution as the custodian of the Constitution and a true ambassador for good governance and financial controls during his tenure as our country’s A-G will forever be remembered.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to him and we express our deepest sympathies and condolences to all who revered him, his family, friends and loved ones.

The country has certainly lost a tireless leader and a person of great integrity.

We pray for his wife and three children during this time of bereavement.

May his soul forever rest in perfect peace. Lala Ngoxolo.
