IFP in KZN Mourns the Passing of Cde Dicco Mkhize

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in KwaZulu-Natal has received, with great sorrow, the news of the untimely passing of its Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) Member, Ms Dicco Nombuso Mkhize. She was born on 29 September 1979 and passed away on 5 December 2021.

Ms Mkhize completed her primary school education in Macambini in Mandeni, and then went to Mzwamandla High School. She then completed PC Training and later worked at iLembe District Municipality as a Call Centre Operator.

Ms Mkhize is survived by three brothers, a sister, and her son and daughter.

Ms Mkhize was an IFP activist from a young age. In 1997, she was the Publicity Secretary of Youth Brigade, later becoming the Chairperson of Youth Brigade in Lindelani Constituency in KwaDukuza. She also participated in the Youth Camps that were led by the late Zenzele Phakathi and Hon. Khawula. Last year she was co-opted as KwaDukuza Secretary. After the passing of Cllr Motal, she was elected as the PR Cllr. Ms Mkhize became an Exco Member and was elected by the KwaDukuza Local Municipality as Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) Chairperson. Ms Mkhize was known as a dedicated and hardworking Member of the PEC across the province.

The IFP in KZN wishes to convey its deepest condolences to the family of Ms Mkhize, her close friends and to the IFP at large. As the IFP family, we deeply mourn her passing. Ms Mkhize was a humble, loyal and dedicated Member of the Party and always ready to assist with any task.

During the 2021 Local Government Elections she played a crucial role in many activities aimed at building recruitment and bringing back Municipalities to the Party. She worked tirelessly within iLembe District.

During this difficult time of mourning, we hope and pray that her family and close friends, as well as the Party, draw comfort from God.

She will laid to rest in KwaDukuza.
Details of her funeral are as follows:
Date: Saturday,11 December 2021
Time: 9:00am
Venue: Ziphozethu Primary School in KwaDukuza

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
