IFP KZN Disappointed to Be Excluded from Matric Results Event

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in KZN is disappointed that the Department of Education appears to have deliberately excluded the IFP from today’s official Matric results release event, which took place this morning at La Mercy.

The IFP regrets that the Department of Education – led by Hon. Kwazi Mshengu – decided not to invite the Official Opposition Party in the province, as is the norm for this annual event. We are appalled by this turn of events. Further, we did not receive any official correspondence or a communique regarding this matter.

This is a blatant display of disrespect and egotism. Events of this magnitude, pertaining the future of the province, require the input and participation of all stakeholders.

We await a full explanation from the Department regarding their motivation for excluding the IFP from today’s event.
