The PEC of the IFP-KZN on this day is holding its Provincial Council composed of all eleven Districts of KwaZulu-Natal at Empangeni Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to roll out the IFP – KZN 2016 LGE Plan.
Firstly the PEC – KZN congratulates the IFP victory in Abaqulusi and Indaka by-elections held on the 20th of January 2016.These results are an indication that the people of KwaZulu-Natal still believe in the IFP and has confidence that it is the Party they can trust. We also applaud the IFP leadership and His Excellency Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi for having been the drive behind all victories in the bi-elections since 2011 LGE.
We approach the 2016 LGE with confidence that indeed the IFP will reclaim the Municipalities we lost in 2011 LGE. When the current PEC – KZN came into office on 03 December 2011, we resolved to work tirelessly to regain the IFP ground in KwaZulu-Natal. Since 2011, the PEC – KZN together with the collective leadership of the Party have made the IFP to be the only Party that has managed to increase its political victories in the Local Governments in KZN, i.e. taking the control of the Inkandla , Hlabisa, Big 5 Municipalities and winning trust and confidence of the voters and Councillors in Umvoti, Inquthu, Mthonjaneni, Ntambanana and Mtubatuba Municipalities.
For the 2016 LGE the PEC-KZN has long resolved and been working on the following key strategic objectives for the 2016 LGE Plan:
To collectively work as a solid Team on the 2016 LGE and as a result at a joint level with the Senior IFP leadership we have resolved to postpone all IFP Internal Elective Conferences until post 2016 LGE so that we all undividedly focus on the 2016 LGE.
Embarked on the massive IFP Volunteer Drive as the frontline force to reclaim the majority Municipalities in KZN. The indicators for the IFP gains through the crucial role played by IFP Volunteers have been manifested in the various Municipalities in KZN as indicated in paragraph (c) above. The massive roll out first leg launch of the IFP Volunteers was done at Umkhanyakude District , KwaMduku at the Big 5 Municipality, on the 16th of January 2016 and will be followed by the other legs in Zululand , Umzinyathi and Uthungulu Districts during the months of February and March 2016.
Embarked on the massive membership drive around each Voting District to ensure the IFP electoral victory. This drive will run up until the election day of the 2016 LGE.
Identified the Five Districts (Umkhanyakude, Zululand, Umzinyathi, Uthukela and Uthungulu) to work day and night to ensure that the IFP reclaims its victory and afford the voters and people of KwaZulu – Natal once again the opportunity to receive full service delivery and corrupt free governments at the Local and District Municipality Levels. Our commitment in the Six remaining Districts in KZN (Durban Metro, Indlovu( Umgungundlovu), Ilembe, Amajuba, Ugu and Sisonke) is to double our representations in the Local Government Levels.
Launched the IFP-KZN 2016 Local Government election drive slogan :
#2016SesifikileVote IFP
Sisho ukuthini lesisiqubulo nalomkhankaso.Sisho ukuthi i-IFP izothula umkhankaso ezowuphila nsukuzonke wokwazisa futhi inxenxe wonke umvoti ukuba azi ukuthi :
1. Isifikile i-IFP ukuzolungisa umonakalo owadaleka ngo-2011 koMaspala e-KZN lokhu izokwenza ngokuba ibuyisele i-IFP emandleni koMaspala abaningi njengakuqala.
2. Isifikile i-IFP ukuzoqinisekisa ukuthi ukulethwa kwezidingo zentuthuko yomphakathi wakithi kuyenzeka.
Lona umkhankaso ozoqhutshwa ngalesisiqubulo futhi lomkhankaso siwuphile usuku nosuku siwusabalalisa ngazo zonke izindlela zokuxhumana nasezinkundleni zokuxhumana, sinqonqoze kumvoti ngamunye ngamunye sithi : Isifikile i-IFP ngo-2016, yivotele uyinike ithuba lokulungisa umonakalo owenzekile ekulethweni kwezidingo zentuthuko yomphakathi.
Lastly, the PEC – KZN distances itself from the recently reported matter in the Isolezwe of the 20th of January 2016 which claims that there is a move to canvass Rev Musa Zondi to come back to the IFP Leadership Position. Whoever is associating the PEC-KZN Leadership behind its back is a force of darkness that has a deliberate campaign to divide the IFP focus. Our focus will not be diverted by this and we remain confident in the existing leadership of the IFP under His Excellency Dr MG Buthelezi. We call upon whoever speaks with the Media behind closed doors about the KZN PEC Leadership to refrain from such act because our activities and programmes are known and presented timeously to all relevant IFP Structures.
