IFP Receives Warm Reception at Folweni

IFP leaders and volunteers have been received very warmly at Folweni township south of Durban as they intensify their campaign ahead of August 3 elections.

Led by IFP NEC Member and Member of KZN Legislature, Joshua Mazibuko, the party began its campaign about 2 hours ago and they are still criss – crossing the township. Scores of young and old rush to the IFP convoy ululating and pleading for IFP Tshirts. And they don’t then Priddy and are parading the streets of Folweni.

In the meeting ANC members have gathered at the entrance of the township in what seems to be a strategy to counter the IFP.

Mazibuko says that they are very happy with the reception they have received. “When we were preparing for this campaign, we were warned that it was dangerous especially after the recent protests. We e however insisted that we were coming here.

“What surprises us us the sudden gathering of the ANC because we know that they had a gathering yesterday and we did not disturb them. We are however blanketing Folweni regardless if ANC antics. We are very positive that the people of Folweni see hope in the IFP.

We will cone back here next week.”
