IFP Statement on DA call for Dissolution of Parliament

The IFP NEC meeting held today noted the call for the dissolution of the South African Parliament, made by DA National Leader, Mr. Mmusi Maimane last Friday.

The IFP is concerned that the DA made such an announcement without consulting other opposition parties regardless of the fact that the no-confidence-debate was a collective effort of all opposition parties

The IFP however wishes to put on record that – even if the DA had consulted it on this matter – the IFP would not have supported such a call.
