IFP Wishes MEC Nkonyeni Speedy Recovery

The IFP in the KZN Legislature has learnt that KZN MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Hon. Peggy Nkonyeni, was involved in a car accident today and wishes her a speedy recovery.

MEC Nkonyeni, together with her security detail, were allegedly involved in a collision on the R66, on their way back from Ulundi on Tuesday morning.

“The IFP was shocked to hear the news of the unfortunate accident; we can only pray and wish the MEC and her aides a speedy recovery. Our prayers are with them at this time”.

It is alleged that MEC Nkonyeni was injured after a tyre burst while her team was en route to Dundee. This was after she had attended a meeting with His Majesty, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, and KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala.
