IFP Women’s Brigade Chairperson’s Easter Message

As Christians around our country get ready to commemorate Easter, on behalf of the IFP Women’s Brigade, I record my very best wishes for a blessed and spiritually rejuvenating Easter weekend.

Easter is a very significant and auspicious time when we are reminded of the selfless sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We also garner hope from the universal message of Christ’s resurrection. This Easter comes at a time when South Africans are plagued by despair as myriad social ills beset our communities. As a nation, we are losing hope in a government that instead of delivering on the promise of ‘a better life for all’, is spiralling into an abyss of failure and chaos, leaving citizens bereft of hope.

Let this Easter remind us that because Jesus Christ has risen, we will never be without hope. Hope for a moral government that prioritises the people and their needs. Hope for dignity and effective and efficient service delivery. IFP is the hope our country seeks in the darkness that we face. Let this Easter reignite the spirit of hope within us all.

I pray for safe traveling mercies for all those on our roads. May this time with family and friends restore our hope and lead us to prosperity and peace.

Wishing all those celebrating Easter a blessed one and a safe and happy long weekend to everyone.
