The national leadership of the IFP Youth Brigade (IFPYB) lived up to the Party’s slogan ‘Sethembe’, with a donation of building materials and groceries to an impoverished family in Ulundi, in the north of KwaZulu-Natal.
The IFPYB’s donation was to a family that was left without shelter due to the inclement weather that recently plagued the outskirts of the province.
Mrs Florence Ntombiyeziwe Ncanana of Ward 24 in the Ezibondweni area in Ulundi, shed tears of joy as the IFPYB, led by its Chairperson, Mthokozisi Nxumalo, delivered building materials.
Nxumalo says they were touched by the plight of the family, and their level of destitution. “As the Constitution of South Africa clearly outlines that decent shelter is a basic right, it is imperative that we translate this into reality. Leaders have a role to lead by example and keep promises they make during the voting season. We are proud that we are living up to that promise in the Zululand District, which is under the leadership of the IFP”.
He says the Ncanana household was identified by the Party’s student body, Sadesmo. He promised that the Youth Brigade will see to it that the house is built – from its foundation until its completion.
