Mabuyakhulu Arrest is Hopefully Sincere

IFP noted the arrest of Mr. Mike Mabuyakhulu, former MEC in the ANC-led government of KwaZulu-Natal on charges related to the 2012 North Sea Jazz Festival.

As the IFP we applaud any action taken by law-enforcement agencies to act against any criminality regardless of who is involved; and we indeed encourage them to continue with their good work.

However, we wish to urge the law-enforcement agencies to conduct their work in a way that does not lead to some people asking questions about their timing. It may well be that they have been busy with investigations up until now as they say. And we hope they are acting in sincerity and without being influenced by current ructions within the ruling ANC.
