No Answers on the Death of Thuli Ndlovu

IFP Women’s Brigade demands answers from the MEC of Community Safety and Liaison in KwaZulu-Natal, Willies Mchunu about what progress has been made in the investigation related into the death of Miss Thuli Ndlovu of KwaNdengezi outside Pinetown who was shot and killed in front of her children last year.

“As the IFPWB we believe that her family and community at large deserve to know the truth about her death. We are very disturbed that ’till today we haven’t heard anything, yet the MEC has moved on without giving answers about her murder. The IFPWB will always speak for the voiceless people – we can’t turn our back on them when our government is not ensuring that justice is served, especially for women in this country,” said IFP Women Brigade National Chairperson, Mrs Thembeni KaMadlopha-Mthethwa MPL.

“It is devastating that the MEC always makes empty promises when people of this province are tragically killed. It seems speeches filled with empty promises are his way of not dealing with the current crime situation in the province and funerals are his makeshift platforms.

“It’s high time for the MEC to ensure that he brings closure to the family of the deceased by providing relevant answers on this matter, especially with regards to whether or not the investigation was completed and if there are suspects being prosecuted for the crime” continued Mrs KaMadlopha-Mthethwa.
