SADESMO extends condolences on the passing of Mlungisi Madonsela

The IFP has received the news of the brutal murder of Mr Mlungisi Madonsela a student at Durban University of Technology with great shock, sorrow and rage.

We express our deepest condolences to family and friends of Mlungisi who passed away in hospital yesterday.

The IFP strongly condemns the use of live ammunition on students and public protests because it does nothing but introduce the potential for fatal incidences.

The continued abuse of power and resources towards students in South Africa is cause for great concern and those implicated must face the full might of the law.

We urge authorities to ensure that this investigation is conducted and concluded with the utmost urgency.

We wish to offer our fullest condolences to the bereaved family and friends and the entire student community of DUT.

May the family and friends find solace in the knowledge that we painfully share their loss.
