19 March, 2012

To The Sowetan from SADESMO

To the editor and concerned journalist
via email: [email protected]

On Monday 19th March 2012 we were shocked to encounter an article claiming that a Mr Chris Ntuli is the President of The South African Democratic Students Movement (SADESMO). We would like to state that SADESMO distances itself from Mr Ntuli and we believe stating that he is our president may have brought confusion and instability in our organization. As far as we are concerned the President of SADESMO is Mr Mthokozisi Nxumalo who was elected on the 6th August 2011 in Durban. Mr Ntuli’s name does not appear in our membership database and we distance ourselves from rogue elements that seek to bring about division in the Inkatha Freedom Party more especially when they are not members of the organization.

We would like to request you remove the name SADESMO in the article and you further run an article apologizing to members of The South African Democratic Students Movement for confusing them and bringing the organization into disrepute by associating it with characters such as Chris Ntuli.
We would like to state that we enjoy a great relationship with IFP and we are forced to react when there are elements that seek to break down our relationship

Issued by The South African Democratic Students Movement (SADESMO)
