Wishing the Muslim Community a Blessed Month of Ramadaan

On behalf of the IFP Founder and President Emeritus, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi MP, IFP President and Leader of the Official Opposition in the KZN Legislature, Hon. Velenkosini Hlabisa MPL and all IFP Public Representatives, we extend our well wishes to the Muslim community for the month-long observation of Ramadaan.

Certainly the observation of this holy month in the Muslim community will be different in many regards as the entire country works together to stop the spread and flatten the curve of community transmissions of the novel coronavirus.

The effects of the global Covid-19 pandemic has required all religious, spiritual and traditional norms and customs to change.

We thank the Muslim community for their consistent contributions to charity and to caregiving during this time of dire need in our country. In their fulfilment of one of the pillars of their faith, we submit that the community remain at home during this time of their fasting thereby demonstrating their sacrifice and goodwill.

We urge all members of religious faiths and denominations to remain compliant with the lockdown restrictions as we are all in the fight against the spread and outbreak of Covid-19, together.

The IFP wishes the Muslim community locally and abroad, Ramadaan Mubarak.
