Youth Must Look Towards Careers in Agriculture

The IFP in KZN Legislature has urged the youth to take agriculture seriously in order to not only empower themselves but also to contribute to national economic growth.

Delivering his Budget Speech Vote Debate in the KZN Legislature today, Mr Nhlanhla Msimango MPL, said ” The youth should not shun working with the soil but rather venture into farming as another way of empowering themselves. Agriculture is a major industry; actually it’s a job in itself. Young energetic people must venture more into agriculture.”

Msimango further stated that “It’s high time that universities and college graduates who have studied agricultural courses applied their skills and knowledge to the agriculture sector. They are all youth and we need them to start being practical in their chosen field, and the best way they can do that is by venturing into agriculture.”
