Sunday Tribune this past Sunday carried an article about the possible postponement of the sacking of IFP national chairperson Zanele Magwazwa-Msibi due to her failure to appear before the National Council written by Nathi Oliphant , it is amazing that the media is very privy about the outcome of the national council before it could even sit a and take decision let alone the decision to sack those who faulted the party rules and the constitution , in the IFP no leader has ever been sacked without being given the opportunity to clear their name , at time the party had to wait for months , writing letters of invitations to concerned leaders to appear before the disciplinary committee to present their full case and dismiss whatever evidence against them in their personal capacity
However one note with concern that journalist like yours are being used in the proxy fights as objects to feed off the current madness by the friends of the VZ Magwaza in the name of transformation , reports of infidelity , homosexuality and getting personal all this is done to demean the image of the party and legacy of the IFP . One would like to caution your reporter about the role the media should play in this country like informing and educating the public and upholding the respect for human rights as opposed to the current phase where they are used as objects of political hot heads.
