The IFP notes that treasury have calculated the amount that President Zuma must back pertaining to non-security upgrades to his private residence at Nkandla in the sum of R7.8 million rand.
This is in compliance with the order handed down by the Constitutional Court earlier this year in the matter. What is of importance now is that Treasury provide the public with a full breakdown and debatement of how this amount was arrived at, as it does seem somewhat trivial when compared with the overall expenditure incurred at Nkandla.
The IFP will immediately request Treasury to provide such debatement and once same has been scrutinised, make further statement on the matter.
